I'm a 55 yr old retired male federal worker with two bachelor degrees (History, and Ethnic Heritage (minorities)). I' m considering getting my teacher certificate, but don't want to spend the money if no one will hire me due to my age. The advantage they have is that I would be at the bottom of the pay scale, which is a non issue for me, because I do have my federal pension. I speak Spanish as well. Do you think anyone would hire me at this age? I adore children and am sorry I didn't pursue this earlier in life.

Dual Immersion Classroom Teaching
3RRubrics.blogspot.com is the address of my latest blog post on the subject...In fact the last two posts are about Bi-lingual Teaching. I'm nearly 70, a retired elementary teacher and like to sub in bi-lingual classrooms. The kids are so open and receptive to all Lang. Arts "play" with words and vocab. It is so rewarding. Give it a try. Bob
